Abbeyfield Group’s principal investment activity is structured around Abbeyfield Financial Holdings and the Abbeyfield Capital Partnerships.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, and led by Conor McEnroy, its founder, Abbeyfield Financial Holdings’ mission is to acquire and manage financial services institutions in South America. The investments are primarily sourced from US and European based banking groups and located in the Southern cone of the continent.

Established in 2005, the objective of Abbeyfield Capital Partners I (ACPI) was to acquire a portfolio of distressed financial assets. Applying the same management and investment principal as within Abbeyfield Financial holdings, value is created through a “corporate finance” approach to recuperation that includes conversion of debt into equity, renegotiation of lending terms and maturity, and in some cases, direct management of the asset. The holdings’ portfolio has returned a multiple of the initial capital to its shareholders since its inception.

Based on the success of ACPI, Abbeyfield General Partner (AGP) has been created to act as adviser to the Partnerships with the mission to source and develop private equity investment opportunities. In partnership with ACPII, funds are being raised for Fair Trade Distilleries I, LP, a green energy venture in Paraguay.
